When Noah contacted Just Autos & Electrical, his narrowboat “Perth Street” had an engine that simply would not start. A full diagnostic check identified the problem straight away — a failed alternator leaving the system without proper charging power.
The Problem
The narrowboat engine was cranking but refusing to start. Battery voltage was dropping and the alternator was not outputting any charge. Without a working alternator, the battery bank drains quickly and the engine loses the power it needs to run.
The Fix
We sourced and supplied a brand new replacement alternator, fitted it to the engine on-site, and had the narrowboat running perfectly again. Clean installation, correct output confirmed, job complete.
